Moorings are close to Hoo Marina but are not an
integral part of the yacht marina. The residential
moorings form a separate entity, where the owner, Denis
Swan, lives on his boat and plays an active role in the
management. He is dedicated to seeing that these
residential moorings offer the best value in the South
of England. Situated on a picturesque section of the
Medway, opposite the new Chatham Maritime development,
the car park and amenity are have, as a backdrop, woods
reaching down to the shore. This is a popular yachting
location with lots of boating activity on the river.
The village of Hoo St Werburgh, where there are
excellent services, is only a short walk away. There are
supermarkets and other shops as well as a medical centre
and dentists' surgery. Opportunities for sports
enthusiasts are exceptional and the Hoo Ness Yacht Club
is next door. Other facilities in the village include a
swimming pool with squash courts, a public golf course
and an indoor bowls centre. There is also a wide range
of pubs. Driving to London generally takes only 40
minutes - longer in rush hours - and there is easy
access to the motorway routes of the M2, M20 and M25.
The Dartford Bridge and Tunnel are only 20 minutes away
and it takes an hour to reach Dover and the Channel
Tunnel .
